I just heard that Arthur C. Clarke has passed away. Hard to say what I think of that. He was one of the grand masters of SF but not one of my favorites. I must also admit that I've been expecting this particular bit of news for a long time now.

patgund was who I heard the news from. I thought this would have happened a long time ago too, but I guess he was just resilient, polio or not.

Sorry to hear it but certainly expected. I enjoyed his work, as well as his musings on the future might hold. Agree or disagree with his work, he had an active mind.
