Strange Impulses.

Its 4:00 am. I've stayed up way past when I should have been in bed because I wanted to download and watch the latest Torchwood as well as the "Ark of Truth" Stargate movie.

Having done that I shall brush my teeth and head to bed. Strangely though, I have this very strong impulse to read some advanced mathematics. So I am taking a printout with me of a .pdf on Category theory and its links to Physics, Topology, Logic and Computation.

Who knows what dreams that will summon?

May I suggest you take a red pen and mark everywhere you find it confusing? I think the author still cares about this kind of thing. Of course it's up to him whether he does anything about it.

In the March 10 entry of his blog , John Baez announces "Mike Stay and I finished our paper Physics, topology, logic and computation: a Rosetta Stone!". Perhaps this means they think they're done with it.
