They're Made Out of Meat!

I was sure I'd posted this YouTube clip earlier, but I can find no evidence of it. IMHO this is the best answer I've yet seen to the Fermi Paradox and underscores why its imperative that we develop the technology to transition to silicon-based intelligence.

Excellent! An extremely rare case of a film adaptation that follows the original text (Terry Bisson's "They're Made Out of Meat", natch) pretty much word for word.

Of course the story is set on the alien spacecraft and involves two robots talking to each other, but otherwise it's exactly as Terry wrote it. The stuff going on around them just adds to the funny. And the performances are brilliant.

Would you believe the Montreal Gazette actually reprinted this short story, back in the early '90's? I wonder whose idea that was? I'm trying to remember if it was in the Editorial section or what.

You beat me to it. Terry Bisson is awesome. I think this was in "Bears Discover Fire."

I ... always suspected it. Earthlings. What else could explain it?
