Yawnatron!

So, I is awake. Today I rather deliberately slept in until 1:00 pm, since I'm going to want to stay up past midnight for new years and I find thats much easier if I don't get up until noonish. Call this a practice run. Anyway, [livejournal.com profile] taxlady now has her website up on my system, and it seems to be behaving well. I notice that some of the error files are not being served correctly, but I have a vague notion of why that is, and will fix it shortly.

In other news, for the past 4 or 5 days I have had this plan of organizing the spices in the kitchen. Evey time I've made the attempt something has gone horribly wrong. The first couple of times the kitchen was such a mess that by the time I had cleaned enough to do the organizing, I had used up all of my enthusiasm for the task. Then when I went to do it on Saturday I ended up working on the sink (which was leaking) so that I could hook up the dishwasher without water going everywhere. That seems to have mostly been fixed now. Sunday I again decided to organize the spices, but when I went into the kitchen to do that [livejournal.com profile] taxlady asked me to cook breakfast. So, I did that, and then decided I would digest a bit before getting back to the organizing. While I was digesting, our mischevious cat [livejournal.com profile] shreddy went and knocked the electric skillet onto the floor, and broke off two legs and a handle, while spilling bacon fat all over everything. I find I'm now AFRAID to attempt the organizing task again, less the oven explode.

Those are all some pretty bad omens. Perhaps the fates are trying to tell you that your spices are best left disorganized.

I didn't know you were going to organize the spices. Maybe if we do it together it will go better.
