Mom News.
I just realized that I never posted the news about my Mom that I got today. Sorry about that -- I've been stupidly busy lately.
Anyway, I talked to her on the phone this morning, just as she was getting ready to be released. She says that they put in three stents, not two like I thought. They were all in branches off of one of her arteries. Anyway, she says she's feeling much better now.
She'll have to take things very slow and easy for the next few months, and won't be able to fly until sometime early next week, but she should make a full recovery. She'll be on various anti-coagulants and cholesterol-lowering drugs for the next year, but she says that doesn't really bother her.
At least now she'll have an excuse to retire that her current boss can't deny. She's been wanting to retire, but he's been afraid to lose her. Now it looks like he's got no choice.
