I tried that sleep thing, and it didn't work. Judging from the timestamps on my emails and some LJ posts, its not working for some other folks as well.

If the entire sleep system went down, would they report it on slashdot? Exhausted netters want to know.

I think you'd see it on /. as a sudden increase in the number of postings and comments rather than a specific "the sleep server is down" post.

It'd probably also show up in the future as a poll: "What is sleep?" with an appropriate set of answers... including either a "You just woke me up, you insensitive clod!" or a CowboyOneal option.
