I have no idea what you are talking about, nor why you think its germane to the post. The point I was making, and the point I believe the comic strip was making is that the Democrats might be better than the Republicans, but that they're a long way from being GOOD.
Yeah, I completely agree. People unfortunately confuse "better" with "good" far too often. And it's also ludicrous to believe that the democrats are better that the republicans in all ways.
I just don't think they're the same now either. That's where I see the connection to this comic.
And so even if, as is well-put, they're the "better" guys if not the "good" ones, and I think "possible" is closer than "viable" 'cause demographics and electoral machinery won't make it possible to elect enlightened philosopher-kings.
Anyway, I'm just burnt-out on "democrats are just as bad" rhetoric.
