Morningtide.

Yup, it morning again. Its a Monday morning and I'm awake early, so I really should plan what I'm going to do this week. For most folks today is a holiday but since I'm not working right now there isn't much reason to treat it as different from any other day.

Besides, I need to come up with a project. It will have the multifold purposes of:
  1. Getting me back up to speed on C++'s STL and BOOST libraries so I can get a C++ job.
  2. Not requiring me to learn too many things unrelated to #1 above.
  3. Scratching an itch by being useful in its own right.
  4. Something I might be willing to show off at [livejournal.com profile] peaceful_dragon's upcoming BarCamp (see [livejournal.com profile] siliconisland).
Even with all that there are several contenders. I'm currently leaning towards my RSS Processor idea from my [livejournal.com profile] technaut blog, but there are other possibilities I can think of. As they said in Economics class, the real price of making a choice is the sum of all of the possibilities that you discard.

The plan is, lots of high quality talks, presentations, and interaction, in no particular order! In many BarCamps in the states, Web 2.0 seems to be a favourite topic. We'll see what happens in Montreal!
