Fief.

The book 'Fief' has been on my want-list forever, but being a small-press item, its hard to get. Its a book about what was like to live in midieval times, from the point-of-view of the lower rungs of society. Now its available at a print-on-demand site, while I can't justify the expense. Hopefully it'll still be there when I have some money.
