And its over for another year.

I kept writing to the last possible minute, and my final NaNo count is:

Zokutou word meter
62,690 / 60,000
(104.5%)

Not huge by some standards perhaps (at one point I hit the wrong button and saw that some Nano participants have 200 THOUSAND words! Oy!) but I'm very happy at the achievement. The only real problem is that the end came halfway through THE pivitol scene of the novel. I may just have to finsih that scene some time in the next few days.

Catching up on life.

I was so hyped after the big push to finish my NaNo novel on time, that I wasn't able to calm down and fall asleep until sometime around seven AM this morning. Naturally, I'm only waking up now. Today the plan was to go shopping because there is very little food in the house, but the freezing rain seems to make this a bad idea. Instead I guess I'll be catching up on all the other things that got neglected in the last week and month while I was getting this out.

I have a ton of email to deal with, I need to get back on track in looking for a job, and the house is in desperate need of a top-to-bottom cleaning if we're going to have folks over for solstice. I maybe should start thinking about decorations and putting up a tree as well.
